It also gives them the chance to receive advice from a professional to help build confidence in themselves and prepare them for a possible future in the world of entertainment._ In 2024, we continued to use a “one-way” system for the audience and ensured that the competitors were looked after in small groups. We restricted the number of entries to 1420, lower than normal, and continued to use the Festival Connect electronic system. We ran for four weekends. The adjudicators chosen were split over the four weekends. Although unusual, this seemed to work well and the two adjudicators communicated with each other regarding choices for trophies and awards. They were both very happy with the standard of competitors. Once again, as this restricted Festival was not expected to raise many funds, we were happy to find that we had been able to raise enough to offer extra bursaries. We were very grateful to the teachers, parents and competitors who made the effort to, once again, take part in our Festival.
