wjsc WOKINGHAM JOB SUPPORT CENTRE TRUSTEES. ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 318T MARCH 2022 {conL) Over the last 30 years the Charrty has helped more than 11,000 local job seekers back into work. Supporting local residents back into wot* has a major benefit to the local economy, a significant impact on communty cohesion and reduces the costs of Benefits, Social Service$, the NHS and Policing and hugely improve8 the household finances, heatth and vlIbeing of each Job seeker and their families. Flnancial Revl•w The Chanty continue8 to try to dosely balance income and expenditure such that our finances remain both strong and roughly in equilibrlum. We have successfully continued our policy of both prudence and frugality. The Charty has relied solely UF)on local councils for grants in this year. Total of all grants amounted to £26,250 (2021 £25,683) in the year, to fund the continuation of its activities. Income from all sources including bank interest was £26,5 (2021- £26,255) and expenses of £27,78812021- £25,212) were incurred reSu1n9 in a loss for the year of £1,178 (2021 + £1,043). Given current pressure and uncertainty surrounding local govemment finances the Truslees believe that rt is appropriate for the Charity to hold eighteen months running expenses in reseNes', this was achieved at 31st March 2022 vthen unrestncted reserves, which mainly comprise cash balan¢e$, were £55,210 (2021- £56.388). As the Charty provides a vltal arKI unu8 communty service the Trustee8 8eek to hold sufficient reserves to run the Centre for eighteen months, so that there is sufficient time to explore options and altematives, rf revenues were to be severely reduced. Howevor, at this 'me, th¢ Trustees are confident of the Continuing 8UPPQrt of local Council donors. The Trustees are al80 aware of the risk to the Charity's funds from fraudulent misappropriation and in order to minimise this risk financial control and authorisation procedures are operated and the Trustees receive regular summarised financial infomation.
