Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Donations made by RCCB during the year amounted to
£15,183 (2020-21: £24,510). The large difference between
the two years is due to a lack of funds caused by restricted
fundraising due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-21.
Also, in recognition of Cardiff University’s permission to
allow the charity to use its car parks for fundraising, £4674
was allocated to a charity fund which is administered by
RCCB on behalf of the university and supports further good
causes.
See appendix 1 for details
Achievements against
objectives set
As a result of the drastically reduced income in 2020-21 due
to the COVID-19 pandemic, planned donations were
dramatically reduced to £3000, all of which was met. As
income arose from the resumption of our usual fundraising
activities, we were able to make further ad hoc donations
amounting to £12,183.
Performance of fundraising
activities against objectives
set
We were careful to conserve funds earned during this year
as we were made aware that our principle income source
might not be able to continue. However, we were fortunate
that we were able to use that source for the whole year so
were able to meet and set objectives and exceed our
expected level of donations.

of the period
