The Trust Deed gives the trustees the power to apply tbe funds in such manner as they tkn'nk fit to 01 for the relief of the poor and needy or to or fo[ such other charitable putpose. institution. The Club also undertakes charitable fiwd raising activities to enable other grants and payments to be made and these are decided by the Club Council as and when requests for assistance are rrteived. Mana ement and overnance arran ements The trust deed provides for 4 trustee4 being the l¥esideDL Vice President , Secretary and Treasurer of the Rotary Club. The treasurer is resw)nsible for the induction of new trustees which involves awareness of a trustee's res￿nsibIlitieS, the governing document and administrative procedures. Public benefit In planning our activities and making decisions on grants throughout the year we have kept In mind the Charity Commission"s guidance on public benefit. The focus of our grants remains on providing fimds to chartties operating for the benefit of people in North Somersei and neighbouring Ioc21ities re health and welfare; assisting young people in educational and self development activities and in path'cular individuals who may not have the financial means to undertake such activities" providing fuwicial assistance to victims of humanitarian disasters.
