The surrounding communrty is expanding very fast and within the growth of new developments there is a high amount of social housing being buili. Summary of tho objects of the charlty set out In Its governing document The charity sets out to work wlth as many dIffent ethnic and cultural communrties as possible within its wider communty vicinity. We work with a large group of settled Travellers and provide them with support for different services and heah. The setting is a Chanty-based setting wtrschool who tak8 children from 24 years and accept twTryear funding and the govemmenl 30-hour funding alongside the govemment 1 &hour funding that all three- and four-yearwolds receive th8 tem after they are three years old. We have a high number of families that access the 30-hour funding and most of the children that attend come for at least their 30hr8 if not the full 39 that we offer at the current time. We have a commltted traveller liaison group which work8 to ensure equal opportunities for this ccmnmunrty and have strong secure relationships on and off the traveller sltes in Bedford. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievèments of thè charfty during the year The setting has managed lo improve the equipment in the outside area's this year, and this will ensure that every child will develop new skills especially in their fine and gross motor eaS of (kvelopment. Developing the outside has also provided the setting with a large undercover classroom. which ensures the children can work outside and inside throughout the whole year. The charity has achieved capacty again this y8ar with a large waiting list for any places that may become available throughout the year rf children rnove. The Chanty also has a full list for places for the following school year wrth a re8eprfe8 list in place. The charity's manager tame the coordinator of the area'8 joint hub settings this year and works with the local borough Early Years Advisers and the children's centre lead along with th8 other Hub leaders to apply for money for the setting3 to buy re60ufGe3 which they Gan share between the hubs. The hub's al meet up to di8CUSS the concem8 they may have around the delNery of servicas due to staff shortages, money, need. The charty has produGed its own curriculum with 8 key goals they would like every thild to achieve before they leave the setting ready to move onto their next steps in their education. The charity has used money to provide a 8et of thildren with access to a private speech and language therapist, this has had a huge impact on these children's development and improved thelr well-being and mental health.
