Trustees Report 2020 to 2021
Little Nippers continue to have a highly experienced team of Early Years Childcare Practitioners. All staff are qualified to Level 3 in Childcare and Education. We are an inclusive setting and welcome all children and their families. We consider children's interests and use the Early Years Foundation Stage to observe, assess and plan activities to support children's development. We work very closely with our Parents/Carers, we send home regular questionnaires, so we know how to improve our setting, we have regular parents’ evenings to discuss their child’s development and progress. We have an open-door policy so parents can see their child’s personal learning file, whenever they wish.
Little Nippers has had another successful year. Children have developed well with the continued provision and constant update of learning resources.
We had a great start to the academic year with the 30 hours funding for 3 to 4-year olds for working parents.
Our new improved garden area for physical development has been an excellent resource for children’s physical development and other areas.
The period 2020 and 2021 has continued to be challenging at times, with covid restrictions still in place, we did our best to welcome new parents and new children at the start of September 2021.
Due to restrictions, we were unable to do a normal transition for our school leavers face to face, however staff completed a thorough transition form and contacted relevant school to pass on information they needed to know.
We have another waiting list for September 2022, and we look forward to welcoming new children to our nursery.
