The Accounts have been prepared in accordan with the Charity's Constitution, applicable law and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities. issued in March 2005 and the Charrties Act 2011. Structure. Governance and Management Wort Park Playgroup vras govemed by its conslitulion adopted on 10 September 2011. 11 registered with the Charity CommissKin on 18 March 1994 Trustees are appointed at the Annual General Meeting held in September by way of a vole of members. Objectives and Actlvities The objectives of the charity are lo enhance the development and education of children vnder statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of Iheif children through community groups and by offering appropriate play, education and care facilities,. encouraging the study needs of such children.. and instsgating, adhering to and fvrthering the aims and objects of the Pre-school Learning Allan. Achiovemgnts and Objectives Worth Park Playgroup were having a giKKI year until Covid 19 caused them lo close They Gontinued to support and offer guidance to parents and made all the necessary precaub'ons so they could open as soon as possible . The Ch2rity were able to run fund raising events to help covei &ldilional costs. The Pre-school continues to be a popular choice among local parents. Financial Review The deficit for the year amounted to £1521 12019.. Deficit £27731 as shown on the Slatemenl of Financial Actsvity or* page 4. All the assets of the ¢haTity are used to rarry out its objeetives. The reserves carried fomard represent the unrestricted reserves of the charity arising from past operab.ng results. In the Trustees opinion the reserves held by the Charty are sufficient lo meet its r¢eeds.
