Para 1.20 | The Charity ran several large and small fundraising events – all open to the general public. The major events this year were a Classic Car event which attracted @3000 visitors, a Youth Concert to encourage young local musicians, a bric-a-brac stall on held in town at Farmers Market (to promote Rotary objectives), a wine and cheese tasting event (to promote the Rotary Foundation). Donations were mainly made to local organisations including the Samaritans, Thornaby Food Bank, Crime Stoppers (knife and gang crime), Great North Air Ambulance, BloodRun (volunteer blood transport), Yatton House (activities for people with disability), and other local needs. We actively encourage volunteers to join us. |
