The overall management and control otthe Pr&- School rests with the indlvldual members olthe Prtrschool's Management Commlttee. Members are eletted or re-elected at the Annual General Meettng In May each year. The trustees have ¢omplled wlth thelr duty to have glven due regard to the tharlty Commlsslon's general guldance on publlc benefit when revlewin8 the charity's alms and oblectlves and in planntng its fLrture activities. The alms of the Pre-sehool are to enhance the development and educatk>n of children under statutory School age. In th55 period, durlngthe 38 week5 of School term time, the Pre-school has pmvided moming and aftèrnoon sessions Èvery week day, and all of the sessFons are well attended. The Pr&5chool provtdes places lor chlldren from tv￿ years old up to five years oEd, and offers approprlate play* fyducatlpn and ure facilities. In parkncular, the Pre-Schi>ol instigates, adhe￿5 to and furthers the alms and objects of the Pre-school Learnlng Alllance. In èdditlon to provldlng places for funded children from when they are threeyears old, the Pre-5¢hool Is able to tske funded twovyear old'5. The Pre-school had a bLtrSY year.. The Pre-school's primary source of Income is fvndlng from BucklnghJm5hlre County Councll, but fundraislng15 also very importanL In late 2017 the government introduced 30 hours free chIld￿re, whlch the Management Commlttee supports, and the Pre-school provldes. However, It creates a 'fvndin8 gap, slnce the hourlyfees paSd by government do not reflect well our corresponding expeTKllture. whlch Is prlmartly staff costs. Thls year the Pre-school wtcessfulty ratsed funds through vOlUnteer￿rganI$ed events and in1t1￿veS. but we expect the free childcare fvnding gap to contlnue to lrnpact our reserves over tlme. At31 March 2024, the Pre-school hold5 cash at the bank and in hand of £220,853.20 all of which is unrestrlcted frjnds. These funds are held In order to meet the ongoing expendlture of the Pre-school. as well as to cover the c05t of unexpected everrts.
