WINDMILL PRE-SCHOOL
{Charity Commission no. 1032380)
TRUSTEES, REPORT
The truste¢5 Set out the flnanclal statements forthe year ended 31st March 2024.
The Pre-school Is governed by a Constltutlon that was adopted In November 2014. The overall management and control otthe Pr&-
School rests with the indlvldual members olthe Prtrschool's Management Commlttee. Members are eletted or re-elected at the
Annual General Meettng In May each year.
The trustees have ¢omplled wlth thelr duty to have glven due regard to the tharlty Commlsslon's general guldance on publlc benefit
when revlewin8 the charity's alms and oblectlves and in planntng its fLrture activities.
The alms of the Pre-sehool are to enhance the development and educatk>n of children under statutory School age. In th55 period,
durlngthe 38 week5 of School term time, the Pre-school has pmvided moming and aftèrnoon sessions Èvery week day, and all of the
sessFons are well attended.
The Pr&5chool provtdes places lor chlldren from tv￿ years old up to five years oEd, and offers approprlate play* fyducatlpn and ure
facilities. In parkncular, the Pre-Schi>ol instigates, adhe￿5 to and furthers the alms and objects of the Pre-school Learnlng Alllance. In
èdditlon to provldlng places for funded children from when they are threeyears old, the Pre-5¢hool Is able to tske funded twovyear
old'5.
The Pre-school had a bLtrSY year.. In addmon to the norn￿1 da￿t0-daY athvities of the Prtrschool, thè children havé pu15clpated in
numerous speclal o¢oslons and acttvlttes, In¢ludln8 Sports Day and a NatI￿ty Plav.
The Pre-school's primary source of Income is fvndlng from BucklnghJm5hlre County Councll, but fundraislng15 also very importanL
In late 2017 the government introduced 30 hours free chIld￿re, whlch the Management Commlttee supports, and the Pre-school
provldes. However, It creates a 'fvndin8 gap, slnce the hourlyfees paSd by government do not reflect well our corresponding
expeTKllture. whlch Is prlmartly staff costs. Thls year the Pre-school wtcessfulty ratsed funds through vOlUnteer￿rganI$ed events and
in1t1￿veS. but we expect the free childcare fvnding gap to contlnue to lrnpact our reserves over tlme.
At31 March 2024, the Pre-school hold5 cash at the bank and in hand of £220,853.20 all of which is unrestrlcted frjnds. These funds
are held In order to meet the ongoing expendlture of the Pre-school. as well as to cover the c05t of unexpected everrts.
The trustees who held office during the yearwere a5 listed on page l of thrs report.
