This club is a member of Distrlct 1040 and is an old estsblished club being number 34 in the UK Rotary movement Rotary GB and Ireland. Secretary and Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Harrogate. Regular Trust meetings are held. normalty in conjunction with the Club Council of the Rotsry Club. Objectlves and Actl¥llles The objectives of the Charity are to provide income aThl capitsl to the relief of the PODr or needy or to such other charitable purwse, institutions or Societ$. Fund raising actmties and seNice provides support for local groups and individuals in need and via Rotary International for international health and welfare projects. The Trustees are responsible for the control of funds raised within the Rotary aub of Harrogate. rnaintenance and safekeeping of assets and donations and payments within the charitable objects. Trust Fund Reglstered (Jwlty No. 1031293 Trustees RePt Yr Ended 30June 21f22 The RoLiry Club of Harrogate has a number of core fund raising activities induding the collertion and recycling of Christmas Trees, bucket collection at Morrisons and a Race Night to support Presidents Charity. The Club also undertakes various community projeLts involving sthools. St Mbchaels Hospi and Horticap as well as judging Christmas window displays. A slgnificant event which enables other charities to ralse funds for thelr own causes is the Nidderdale Wall organised and facilitsted by the Rotary Club of Harrogate. After Covid dismption in 2020 and part of 2021 it was pleasin8 to note that number of the above artivities were undertaken durin8 the year of review. Additronally. due to the ongoing Ukrainian crisis, the Club. like many other Rotary Clubs, was pleased to undertake a bucket collection over a period durin8 March 2022. Due to the generosity of the residents of Harrogate and others. the club was able to collect over £97(K) including Gift Aid. An amount of £4490 has already been dlstributed forthe benefit of Ukrainian refugees and the remaining restrirted funds will be all(Kated out as needs arise during 202212023. In addition. the Trust Fund was able to give donations and grants of around £14(KX) as listed on Page 3 of the attached accounts. The Rotary Club of Harrogate can be very proud of its achievements durlng 202112022 by ralslng, or asslstlng in raisin& nearly E30(KKI of funds for the benefft of charity as set out on Page l of the accounts. Flnandal Revlew The policy of the Trustees isto try to allocate fundsto worthy causes and to keep reser¥esto minirnum levels whilst being mindful of the need to have ready resources to support any emer8ency initiatlves that might be hhlIghted by Rotary either in UK or abroad. Of the funds available at the end of the financial year of £24512. some £13339 is of a restricted nature and can only be spent in accordance with the conditions set by those funds. An analysis is set out on Page 4. Unrestritted Funds amount to £11172 whKh 15 considered to be an adequate reserve to support general projects over the forthcornin8 12 months.
