Objectives of the charity To advance the education of pupils at Fitzjohn’s School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities at the school.

aligned to specific requests made by the school, which in turn are aligned to the charity’s objectives. These are approved at the AGM. These requests are prioritised, in case fundraising target is not reached.
The charity makes an annual donation at the end of the year, the sum of which is aligned to the actual cost of the items requested at the AGM (which is sometimes different to the forecast amount).

Family appeal raised: £67,000 through standing orders, payroll giving and from oneoff donations. Corporate donations brought an additional £8,000. The charity received Gift Aid claims from HMRC equal to £11,989.18. £10,000 were raised for a future project of Solar Panels and can only be used for that purpose.
The charity funded school transport, sport and outdoors equipment, IT equipment, provided assistance to disadvantaged students to attend after-school clubs, subsidized musical tuition and made contributions to specialised sports coach costs. In total, this amounted to £100,000, of which £80,000 was paid to the school and £20,000 is pending payment.
Financial review
Policy on reserves We hold cash at bank of at least £5,000 in order to be able to provide continuity. During the year the bank balance reaches £70K.
