G

FAMILIES CHOOSING TO SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO PRE-SCHOOL AS OPPOSED TO ELSEWHERE. THE NUMBERS OF CHILDREN TYPICALLY DROP IN THE AUTUMN TERM AFTER SCHOOL INTAKES AND RISE AGAIN AS THE ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRESSES. NUMBERS WERE LOW DUE TO 50% OF CHILDREN MOVING UP TO PRIMARY SCHOOL. WE SUCCESSFULLY RECEIVED GRANTS FROM SOMERSET EARLY YEARS AND HENSTRIDGE PARISH COUNCIL. WE ARE WORKING ON INCREASING NUMBERS IN THE SPRING AND SUMMER TERM. WE WILL DO THIS BY MARKETING AND PROMOTING OUR PRESCHOOL.

Exp ]Q27ao2 1. Accounts Review I have re¢on¢iled the Chaity's CAF BankAccounts and the Lioyds BankAccount to 34re8 ano confirm the ciosine cash accounts as recorded in Section 81 Cash Funds ot th8 Charity Commission Retum. I can agree th* the A1 Receipts less the A3 Payments figure is correctly reflected in the Cash movement between Cash at the end of the prevlous year ano the end of this year. I have found no evi(ience that any entry should be made in A2 01 A4 ot the Return. 2. Limitations of this Report I have not aLsdited whether each item ol Expenditure has been correctlv allocateo to t Individual cosi centres. 3. Observations In the 2021-2022 Report il was noted that the Petty C8sh balance of £6 had not been incluije(J in the return. This year's Opening Balance in the Petty Casn Log snows L4 clifferent amount of £3 and a Closing Balance of £8 which a&ain has not been includ8 on the Return. I would recommend that these balances be accounted for in the 2023-24 Return. 4. Opinion l am happy to confirm that the Charity's 8ccounts tor the period I" September 2022 to 31- August 2023 ale 88tisfactory and ale Supported by adequate recoros. Ashley James Shi 28" February 2024
