We participated in the reV￿lon of the Constitution of W15 set by the thanges approved ai the National Annual General Meeting on 4-6-25. The Companies Aci MÈÈting was ￿ld prK)r to the National AGM. Surrey Federation held the Adoption Meeting of the new ConstitutK)n ￿ 7-7-25. This was necessary because Surrev Federation, like many Charities, IS a Coffjpany titnited by Guarantee and thÈrefore must comply with the Companies Act formalities. We sent information to all cwr Wls inwting them io either send a delegate or grant a Proxy vote prior to this meeting. The new Constitution was duly ￿lOpted. We, continue to inwte our member5 to observe and contribute to the Trustee Team and the cornrrittee rn￿ting, this we hope will enable them to understand how thÈ Federation 15 run. and Maybe volunteerto serve. The team works closely bwth our Climate Adv(Ke and Resolutions ctrordinawr and have boked at ways to reduce our climato footprint. iDcludin8 hdding some tr￿etIngS by ziN)rn. We have been pleased to wekomÈ Wl members to our rn05t recent zoom meeting and a￿ hopeful that we have gained team tnernbersas a result. We are looking forward to a new year of campa%ning and encouraging others to lake part. Equalfty, Dfver50ty and Inclusion Tearn (EDI} Surrey Federaiion have continued to mnitor acrTriiieg everrt5 Put on by and within the Fedeotion to ensure that where possible, we have events throughout the yearthat will cater lor all of our rnetnber5 if they wish to attend. This has included varying the time and venue forworkthops aiming fora varietyof price ranges. We ran crafting workshops, open to all members. to creaie 'gwe away. thing5 at Pride in Surrey. This created 3 safe space for productive cOnversat￿nS to take place to aid our overall inclusNe approath io the LGBTQIA+ cornmunity. We undertook a thorough risk assessment prior to cNJr attendance at Pride in Surrey and had a gocMI time supporting this local event. We began to create a 'Black Lives M3tterf banner lor the Federat￿n and reached out to varKJUS grwps ¥￿thin ihe black community for advice and feedb3ck. It vras SUEeQStÉ4Y that tt was not aulhentic and needed to be created by members who identify within that community so the project 15 on hold. and we will l(KJk for mernbers to help with this. The E & O Show 2025 The Show theme was A Year in the ￿fe of... Entries were 4ain slow io arrive as in 2024 for th￿ show on the August Bank Holiday weekend at ihe Edenbridge & Oxled ABricultvral Show. However with a lot of reminding and arrn twisting of members the large marquee we were allocated was filled with a rnar¥ell￿5 array of top qualiry crafts and cookery and hand5 on dÈmonsirationsand activities. The weather for the set up days werè dry and warm. The 2 5hLw days were hot and it was a full irne lob keepin8 all the voluntetr stewards and helpers hydraled as the iernperature in the marquee soared and everyone's energy levels plummeted. Some members of the public just found it tixj hot to spend Eitne viewing our show. The yummy brovmies for sal¢ on the Country Market cakt stall quKklytumed into drinking chocolatell Six judge5 spent 5 hours each judging all Ihe exhibits - what a task. They were overwhelmed with the skills, talent5 attention to dotail achieved by all the exhibrtor5. We were delighted to wekome St John Ambulance io us to promote the W campaign that 'Bystanders can be Life SaveT5' They ran regular demonstrations re giving CPR and ￿￿n8 a defibrillator. educating u5 and ihe public. It was 50 encouraging to have Wls participating from across Surrey including some of the London Wls and more exhibitors entÈred the show for the first time. some of whom also vdunteered asstewards. The children's actiwtie5 were agreat hit. Wo We￿ delighted to have Oxted Country Markets pined u5 ¥ain. 5ellinB their powlar home nude, hand crafted and home grown products. Designated funds Thi5 Friendship Fund hold5 gifts from rnembers. Wls and the remaining rese￿eS from Suspended W15 and it is available to help rhe formation ol new Wls by paying for some of their start up c(tsts and to help financially struggling Wls. The fund is also used to prornte thÈ Wl at hxal shows and at any other event the Trustee Team feel will attr￿￿ new interest and membership. The Training Fund was set up usin8 a to enable the Federation to pay lor the training of new TrusteÈs, sub-team members, including Adyiws and Wl committees. This is rthf funded by an annual transfer from the unrestricted lund5. The Promotion Fund The Board of trustees have W￿ened the use of the desienated friendship fund this year to allow for a wder range of cost to be paid from it, so all Wl promotion is p3id from the Iriendship fund. The balance brought forward on the pron)olion fvnd ha5 been trnnsfeI￿d b&k tothe unrestricted reserve. General BurSar￿S are funds thar have been donated to the Federation io use for any purpose. The trustee5 have put the money aside to enable bursaries to ￿ given lor a wide range of courses and not restrict bursarios to Wl or Denman trust Organ￿ed cour5e5. Transfers between funds DurinE the year E9,993 was transferred frotn ihe Restiicted Friendship Fund to the Desi8nated Friendship Fund. These are closing funds Irom suspended Wl's wh￿h have not reformed withirt thrÈe years. In accordance with the Friendship Fund's pdiry the funds are transfÈrr*d to d?￿gnated funds al this point. The other transfer5 were rnainty rnoviDg fund5 between unrestricted funds that had been designated by the Trustees for various purposÈs and Eeneral funds.
