Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The WSA was formed in 1992 with the sole aim to obtain a purpose made facility that would provide changing rooms, wc’s kitchen and meeting room. It has been a long haul with many pitfalls along the way but in 2023 the objective became a reality!

Weedon village now has a superb quality facility to be proud of thanks to the efforts of the WSA Trustees and Committee!

This is the Jubilee Sports and Community Facility and is a fully owned asset of the Charity

Works were coordinated with the landowners, Weedon Parish Council, so that the carpark and surrounding area was developed at the same time.

The facility now supports circa 12 football teams run by Weedon Football Club and is a well liked village community asset

Hosting the 8[th] Weedon Weekender event which has now become an integral part of the village summer diary and a fundraising opportunity
