We have made donations to the Rotary Foundation UK, part of the Summary of the main Rotary Foundation, a global charity supporting humanitarian projects run achievements of the charity by Rotary clubs for their local communities. during the year We have supported education projects in Nepal and Ukraine. We have supported many local charities that work with different community groups. We run a Rotakids club for children age 7-12 years.

Section E Financial review

We hold reserves for three activities: Brief statement of the Fireworks night: £12,000 is held since this is the approx. cost of the event charity’s policy on reserves and so is effectively the underwrite of the event in case it is cancelled at the last minute and we have minimal or no ticket sales. We hold separate funds for educational activities in Nepal and Ghana. The income received is ringfenced for these activities and is then transferred as needed to the beneficiaries.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30/06/2024.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
