1 ACCOUNTING POLICIES These accounts have been peepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost of transaction vahue other than quoted investments which are shown wi market value. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their acoownts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable im the UK and Repablic of Ireland (FRS 102). 1) Accounting Coevention The financial statements arc prepared oe the sccruals basis. 2) Fund Accounting The charity has set wp am endowment fund to accept Gomarions and legacies for longer-term investment. The income of the fund can be used for general purposes bul the capital can only be drawn down by specific Onherwise the charity maintains a single feed which represents unrestricted income and capital which is expendable at the discretion of the trustees in the furtherance of the objects of the charity.

4 ENDOWMENT FUND
To compensate for the loss of grants from Oxford City Council and Arts Council Enghand, the trustees decided in 2006 to set wp an Endowment Fund to attract donations sed legacies for longer-term investment. ‘Ths income of the fund is paid into the General Fumd v0 support the Society's activities, but the capital can only be used in emergency by resolution passed by a two-thirds majority of the Executive Coenmittee, notice of sack resolution being given st least two weeks prior to the date of the meeting.
5 COVID-19
The globa) pandemic has continued to adversely affect our #ctivitics in the financial period. Chott aumbers have recovered slightly but wudiences appear still wary of attending concerts. This situacion has affected many arts Oryarissitons and we cam only hope for an improving situation us canfidesce returns.
6 PREVIOUSYEAR ADJUSTMENT
in the accounts for the year caded 31.7.2021, an inter-fand transfer was not incorporated. The brought forward balances have been adjusted to correct this oversight.
7 INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S FEE
‘The amount of £900 shown in the current accounts is for the fee incurred for examination of the 2021/22 scoounts and which was not accrued in that year's figures. The current Exarniner has generouslynot charged a fee for his work.
