The Pre-school is a charity run by a volunteer committee consisting of parents and guardians of children in the pre-school. It recruits trustees from among active parents. The pre-school
employs a manager who oversees the staff team, safeguarding, funding and adherence to rules and regulations.
Charity’s mission : To provide sessional pre-school education and care during term time to enhance the development of children under school age. Offer play facilities and learning in accordance with the pre-school learning alliance.
Achievement and performance: Over the period of this report the pre-school has looked after 22 children and achieved a small surplus financially. It has improved its outside play area with new access, increased the range of play items available to children and seen an increase in the number of children supported. It plays an active role in the community beyond the children it looks after, taking part in several key local events such as carnivals and fetes.
The pre-school has raised a sum of under £1,000 in fundraising at its raffles and events at Christmas, Easter and the summer to invest in improvements for the children it looks after.
