From those. the Committee will appoint a Secretary. It has been a successf ul year. and we took our '￿Ver$. on the usuol end of pre-school visit to Finkl¢y Down Farm" . a good time was had by allll My thanks to th¢ 'volunteers' who helped ensure we had the correct child/adult ratios. A number of ¢nhan¢¢m¢nt$ were made duriry th¢ year: Yellow Room astroturf replaced. A new climbing f rame erected in the top 9orden. Th¢ racetrack garden dug over ond replonted. Bu99y/Scooter shelter built at entrance. Outdoor toy shelter built in rocetrack. The cedar cloddiThJ of the buildiThJ has been treated. Our main drain has been re￿ligned. [Hopefully to prevent the re9ular blockages]. We f inally managed to solve the problem of findir9 new auditors for the pre- school account$. 8efor¢ w¢ get to a vote it 1$ important that I r¢mind you all that w¢ n¢¢d a 'quorani' of parents to ensure the MC exists in accordance with our Constitution. remember this is a parent/guardian led charity pre-sch¢)ol Our C¢nstituti¢n requires 50% of the Committee to be drawn from parents19￿1￿￿ who h<rrfe children in the pre- school. rt is therefore vital that we recruit more parents/guardians to join the Committee f or the coming year. No special skills are required. The meetings are "hybrid. meetin9s in that some attend in p¢rs¢)n. others by ZOOM. so you don't even have to turn up to every meetiry. We are extremely gratefvl for those who have helped. We continue to invest in training in order to develop our dedicated team, to maintain high level of education and care for our children. We conts'nue to maintain the building to high safety standard, looking for new ideas to enhance our Preschool further. Wo appreciate all the efforts during the year at fund raising, such as the Christmas and Easter raffles. It ￿allY helps in creating a gieat environment for our children. We have Seen 4xcellent progress a¢rosg dll areas of the Early Ye4t¥ Foundation Stage (EryFS), particularly in communication. language <w)d physical development which remains a strong f ocus. W¢ continued to follow the PIFS f ramework, ejtsuring that play and exploration underpin all learning opportunities. Rolling lunchtimes wer¢ introduced to enhance the social experience of meal times as well as guaranteeirg we maximise the amount of time offered throughout the day for uninterrupted play ond learnin9. We enhanced our outdoor learnir¥J provision. Introducirg new resaurces to the top garden to support physical development ond Thjture bosed exploration. Health and Safety report ASM 2025 Welcome to this year's Health and Safety report. r would like to take this oppOrt￿lty to th¢Jnk the te4m who have been great at briNJirg ary H&5 issues that orise to my attention in a prompt and timely mamer, and also to Steve who is a14ws on hand to f ix the items I om ur￿61e to. Jobs are completed sometimes as soon as they arise and other times in a swift manner with any bigger issues beir¥J monitored until rectif led. a big th(Mk you to Steve and Olly who undertakt a 9ood wrtion of this. I have ref reshed my H&S off icer trainir4J in J Annual P.A.T testiThJ has been completed. 80iler Service has been CoMp￿ted. Fire test and evacL￿tIOnS have been conducted throughout the year. There was an issue with the drains which has r￿￿ been resolved. Work was carried out to rectify this. The old steppiThJ stone tree trunks had rotted so these were removed, there are plans to potentiolly replace this but for now4 the childr¢n have been lovir ¢xplorirg these holes ond even usirg them to hide Pirate Pete's tr¢osur¢. Astro turf was replaced in yellow room wden. We some new plryy equipment up the top garden, a lovely climbing f rame and a teppee. bi9 thanks to Steve for buildirg these. the Climbi￿ f rame has bee4 very much appreciated by the children. they h(we Mt yet had much opportunity to explore the teppee. Steve replaced the f ramework of the climbin9 mound in the top 9orden os th¢ old one had rotted away, we are very much appreciative of this as the children have loved that ovv the years and 9ives them a great opportunity to build those physical skills. We are working hard to lower our carbon footprint ar￿ both myself and Julie hove been workin9 together to make charyes, one of these ch￿VJes is to start Composting our lef tovers. we are doirg both traditional composting and also using a system called Bokashi which ollows us to compost cereal and meats, I will be keeping a very close ¢ye to the pests this can attract and takiNJ every precaution to lower thi$ risk. l aim to complete a risk assessment bef¢Ke the end of the ye4r. I would like to take this opportunity to remind parents we do access the outside (we no matter the weather, we do have some Wdterproaf trousers but would really appreciate if you could where possible send your children with weather appropriate

clothing, i.e. wellies tmd waterproof jackets. this gives them the opportunity to play out and enjoy the f un the rain can bring.
