A welcome to you all. particularty to those new parents/guardians of Children that have
joined us this year.
As thairperson, I have to infom you that, as the pre-school is a re9iStered ch*2rity.
we are required by the Charity Commisston to hold an Arnwl 6eneral Meetirvj [A6M].
at least once a year for the purposes of ele¢tiNJ a pre-school Mamgement Committee
[MC], its Chairperson and Treasurer, together with another 10 Committee members
(uswlw parents/guardians). From those. the Committee will appoint a Secretary.
It has been a successf ul year. and we took our '￿Ver$. on the usuol end of pre-school
visit to Finkl¢y Down Farm" . a good time was had by allll My thanks to th¢
'volunteers' who helped ensure we had the correct child/adult ratios.
A number of ¢nhan¢¢m¢nt$ were made duriry th¢ year:
Yellow Room astroturf replaced.
A new climbing f rame erected in the top 9orden.
Th¢ racetrack garden dug over ond replonted.
Bu99y/Scooter shelter built at entrance.
Outdoor toy shelter built in rocetrack.
The cedar cloddiThJ of the buildiThJ has been treated.
Our main drain has been re￿ligned. [Hopefully to prevent the re9ular
blockages].
We f inally managed to solve the problem of findir9 new auditors for the pre-
school account$.
8efor¢ w¢ get to a vote it 1$ important that I r¢mind you all that w¢ n¢¢d a 'quorani'
of parents to ensure the MC exists in accordance with our Constitution. remember
this is a parent/guardian led charity pre-sch¢)ol Our C¢nstituti¢n requires 50% of
the Committee to be drawn from parents19￿1￿￿ who h<rrfe children in the pre-
school. rt is therefore vital that we recruit more parents/guardians to join the
Committee f or the coming year. No special skills are required. The meetings are
"hybrid. meetin9s in that some attend in p¢rs¢)n. others by ZOOM. so you don't even
have to turn up to every meetiry. What is required is ￿ interest in deliveriThJ the
best Possible education for our children. enthusiasm l￿d idetL8. If yau would like to
volunteer. ple¢tse speak to Cloire or email me at the pre-school
LLid
ershall
reschool@hotrrioII com). There is a guide to beiThJ a Committee member
¢]nd it will also be made available onlinL
We currently have just one 1￿Mination for the Position of Chairperson. Me I I have
agreed to remain in post for another year unless there are ary nominations from the
f loor.
We need to appoint a new Treasurer - hopefully we have a volunteer ??????????

I am pleosed that we hove 8 "volunteers. to join the Committee. The details are all
listed overleaf. That still leaves 4 vac(VKies to f ill.
THE VOTE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Claire produced a report that covers occupw rates etc. so I do not p5an to
repeat those here.
Th4 Thonk You part:
f would like to pers0Th21ty thank all those that have served on the Committee durirvj
