The main activities of the charity are to provide and enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a safe, secure and stimulating environment which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families. Furthermore the charity encourages the professional development and education of those providing the childcareby providing training opportunities for staff as part of a continual professional development programme and improvement plan. |

Para 1.18 | All trustees are made aware of their roles and responsibilities once they have been elected on to the committee, this includes ensuring trustees who have been involved for a longer period of time are kept up to date with any changes to guidance. Information regarding the importance of Public Benefit has been disseminated at Committee meetings and any areas of uncertainty discussed. All trustees are aware of how the charities benefits the public. |

Para 1.20 | 15 children were registered at beginning of the Autumn term 2020. This equates to 34% capacity. Summer term 2020, 22 children were registered which equates to over 58%. Following the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, numbers are still looking healthy. After a difficult winter owing to restrictions put in place as a result of the pandemic, we were delighted to still be able to run our Leavers’ Picnic at the end of the Summer Term and the Village Easter Egg Trail which raised £900. Staff and Professional Development • Emphasis on training and professional development last year • Staff training: all staff completed paediatric first aid training. Other training opportunities included food hygiene training, maths training and safeguarding training • Committee members all undertook Prevent training • The Pre School said goodbye to one senior member of staff at the end of the Summer term and welcomed a new member to the staff team as Deputy Pre-School Leader |
