Need more leaders.
Volunteers —We need to recruit for Hook Explorers and across all
sections.
County have said they will help —but we need to try first.
The exec committee
have invested some money in four banners. Two for
attracting
volunteers
and two for attracting
more young people.
They were up over Jubilee weekend
and we are seeing a couple ofleads.
Groups need to let Exec know when you want the support to try to run
events to support
you to get more volunteers.
GSLs please contact Melissa Salisbury for support.

County Representative.
Paul Hedges —Assistant
County Commissioner.
Hampshire
are looking at the whole County and are reviewing
all the
processes including
digitalcommunication
team. We are hoping this will
be sorted soon. Including
District web site.
Growth and development.
Three new officers have been taken
on. They
will be involved
in squirrels
and making sure priorities are met.
We would
like all districts to consider Squirrels
by the end of2023.We
are hoping that encouraging
parents to join in when their children are
young will engage them sothey will continue tojoin in as they get older.
Also Scouting across the board is going through
a review at a whole—
there is now atransformation
team. They will be changing a variety of
processes. Training
will be easier to access and complete without
reducing the quality ofcontent. Details will follow.
At some point leader's names will be changing —these will be made
more understandable
for new adults and volunteers.
New membership
system. Please can everyone
make sure all their
information
iscorrect and up to date on compass. Scout manager
will
not be part ofthe system nor supported
at County level. Any work
required
will be made as simple as possible.
Ifthere are things that people are not happy with, please talk to us. Ifwe
don't know, we can't help.
We used to have four clusters. We now have two clusters split Eastto
West. More programme
support teams are in place. They are there to
support fair and equal access.
We have noticed that there are some fantastic activities going on and we
want to celebrate them. Please share these with us.
All feed back can go through
Pete (DC).
