Additional governance issues (Optional information)

The Charity is a Christian church which has met at various venues in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and may meet and function as one or several bodies in other places for the worship of God, the instruction and edification of Christians, the care and Christian instruction of young people and children and the evangelisation of non-Christians, the relief of sickness and poverty and the advancement of the Christian faith generally.

The Fellowship is led by a church leader, who makes decisions with input from church members, as to how the Fellowship can best attain its objectives so that God is honoured in all things. The church leader represents and serves the members and has the responsibility of the day to day running and development of the Fellowship within the objectives of the trust.

The Trustees work alongside the church leader, liaising in the financing of activities and causes to best attain the objectives of the Fellowship. However, the Trustees have a duty as to the application of the charitable funds of the Fellowship in a manner that is transparent and accountable to donors, beneficiaries and the public by keeping their information on the public register up to date.

Redhill Christian Fellowship is an independent fellowship which is a member of the Evangelical Alliance and is part of Churches Together in Redhill and District. The Fellowship operates a Safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults.

Paul Puzey was elected Fellowship leader on 4[th] November 2007, together with his wife Hermione.

The trustees see participation within the community and representation of the Christian perspective to the wider community as a central part of the Fellowship’s role, to which end the trustees have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

Redhill Christian Fellowship has been active throughout the year. The Fellowship offers open and public meetings every Sunday from 10.30 am – 1.00 pm at the Harlequin theatre within the Warwick Quadrant area of Redhill town centre and various other meetings throughout the week.
