In 2023-24. £19.097 (22-23 - £21,824) was raised by donations from parents. We have claimed grft aid of £4.026 in respect of these donations. A legacy donation of £71,460 was received from a fomier pupil. The proceeds from the Colour Run hekl in July 2024 raised a total of £2,773. Other fundraising in the year included a Christrnas raffle which raised £1606 and Doughnut sales which raised £720.

EXPENDrruRE The Trustees agreed lo donate a totsl of £25.373 to the school to fund the purchase of the following item5-. Equipment for DT department {£989) Potters wheels for Art department (£1,829) Benches {£5.008) Classroom screens (£10,128) Staging equipment {£6.137) House noticeboards (£1.282) FUTURE PLANS It is planned to use the legacy of £71,460 to fund the conversion of a classroom into a science lab. with the work to be completed in Summer 2025. The Trustees will discuss vthich other future projects to suppor( using the proceeds of Ihe fundraising. at the next meeting in March. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF FRIENDS OF THE HOLT SCHOOL I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Friends of The Holt School for the year ended 31st August 2024. Responsibilities and basi$ of report As the charity twstees of the Trust you are sponSible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5){b) of the Act. Independent examinor's statement I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.. 1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Twst as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. The accounts do not accord with those records: or 3. The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conmIng the fomi and content of a¢¢ounts set out in the Charities {Accounts and Reports} Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a Irue and fair view, which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
