Maker with Rame Communi Hall Chaimans Re ort 2022-2023 l am pleased to report that the Community Hall financiallv has had a 5uccessfu.. Year. Confidence has returned after lockdown and groups who use the Hall are .mainly back to normal. The Community Hall letting revenue is at an all time high The following are groups who use the Hall weekly and Monthly. Bowls. Badminton. Male Voice Choir. Art, Sewing group, Yoga. Post Office, Parish Council, Bingo. Pensioners Voice. Film Club, PLUS Theatre Productions. Dinner Dances. Fetes, Parties. Wedding Receptions, Christmas Lights. Black Prince, Art Exhibitions, New Year Dip, and this vear hosted in Dart the Jubilee and the Coronation The Lottery was paused for 18 Months due to lockdown and has struggled to restart our old members. thank you Anita Chambers who set up a standing order facility last year which l am pleased to report accounts for one third of the membership and has helped to double last years surplus. Thank you to the Fowler family at Spar for helping with the Lottery and David Rosson and Ray Kenneford who collect from their groups. Supporting our letting revenue is the Theatre group and the Dinner account Jane Mutch and herteam organised six Theatre Productions and Pam Michael and her team organised Two Dinner Dances. Rame Male Voice Choir organised a Christmas concert to raise money for the upgrade of the Toilets. Thank you Jane. Pam and the Male Voice Choir. l am pleased to report that with the efforts of our letting revenue plus Theatre. Dinner. Lottery and Male Voice Choir it has increased our Financial Balance to over £40,000. Our main enemy this year has been the increase in the price of Oil and Electricity. Oil has increased by £300 and Electricity by £IOOO. The main increase in electricity is the use of the Kitchen and it has been necessary to charge for the Kitchen according to the type of use. We have replaced our 30year old curtains in the Hall with Blinds. we have also replaced the Plate warmer and the Microwave in the Kitchen. Lookin ahead.
)teDhanie Hoare has submitted an application on behalf of the Community Hall to the Jubilee Grant to upgrade the toilets and to include a unisex Disabled toilet. We hope at the end of the year to skim the floor of the Community Hall, it will mean closing for one week. In July we will be fitting the Jubilee Window in the Foyer. It is a joint venture between the Parish Council and the Community Hall. The designs have been done by the Children of Four Lanes End School and the Window will be designed by Brian Luxton. I would like to thank Ann Helliwell and her team for keeping the Community Garden in such good order. l am sad to report that our Auditor of the last Ten Years Tony Hutchings died last year. Tony will be missed not just as our Auditor but he was involved in many organisations in the Community and Plymouth. I would like to welcome our new Auditor Helen Marks Williarns. i would like to thank the Parish Council for their SUDPOrt, Helen Marks Williams Auditor.
