Section C Objectives and activities To promote the benef it of the inhabitants of the Aylesbury Town Council ward of Bedgrove and the area between Tumfurlong Lane and Wendover Road (hereinafler called the area of benefit) without distinction of sex, race, political, religious or other opinion by bringing together the inhabitants, the Iccal authorities and voluntary associations in a common effort: (a) to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life in the area of benefit. (b) to promote the preservation, development and improvement for the public benef it of the character and amenities of the area of benef it. In planning our acttvities for the year we kept in mind the Charty Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (Include within this section the statutory declaration that tru5t8es have had regard to the guldance Issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) We organised our biennial 'Day in the Park, community event, this was th held on 13 July 2024 and was open to all. The event included craft stalls, ref reshments, funf air rides, arena displays and a dog show. It provided a great day out for the whole comm unity and met our objectives by being an opportunity for recreation and leisure in the interests of social welfare. We also produced and delivered a newsletter to residents in March and October giving them news on local events and issues. We continue to regularly check and monitor the defibrillator that we installed on the estate in 2018, and this year paid for another four years, annual support. Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information) We are grateful for the many hours our non-commrtte6 volunteers spend delivering our newsletter and also to those who helped with our Day in the Park event. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achlevernents of the charlty durlng the year We continued to raise funds for our project to provide a Bmxlpump track in the local park which will be a f ree to use leisure facility for the benef it crf all residents, particularly young people. The majority of the funds were secur8d Ihrough various grant applications. Additionally, we raised money for this project via a GoFundMe page, several donations, and proceeds from our community event, 'Day in the Park,. In addition to the £23,000 received for this track in the previous financial year, we have received over £77,000 this year and have reached the target needed for the project to proceed. Work is scheduled to begin in June 2025. Section E Financial review We do not have a reserves po icy. Cash at bank at 31103125 was £76,569. We have £750 ring-fenced as a contingency fund for our next Day in the Park community event. £68.282 is ring-fenced for the remaining costs of the 8MXlpump track project. £7536 is unrestricted funds that is held to cover any shorttall in eralional costs or unforeseen ex enditure that ma cur.
