To meet its objectives. the PTFA has Continued to organise a rang8 of events for the puyls. staff. parents and othèrs associated with the school, designed to raise funds for the school (see section D). In addition, the PTFA raises money for the school through receiving volunlary donations, most of which are given on a monthly basis by parents of current puplls in the school. In planning our actNities f the year, we kept in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. From the responses and thanks that we get from th8 School's Govemors, teachers and parents there is no doubt in the Trustees minds that we are meeting the Commissions requirements in that area. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achlevoments of the charlty durlng the yaar During the year, the association raised £42.844 {n8t) via various fomis of fundraising. Looknng at our financial hislory that is the largest amount of money that we have raised in any of the last 5 years. The indmdual fijndraising activty which raised the most money wa$ the Bamauction which produced £13,498 Other successful events in raising signfficant funds were Ihe Summer Fayre and the Christmas Fayre, both of which raised over £2000 (net). As a result of the funds raised and including some of the funds raised in the previous year which had not been donated to the school by the and of the financial year, £43,000 was donated to Shiplake C of E Primary School during the year.
