Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The main activity of the Trust is to support our local community when they find themselves in times of financial hardship.

The onset of Covid reduced the income for a significant number of our local households. We reacted to this by liaising with a number of local charities where we combined our funds raising £47,145. This gave us the opportunity to create a support strategy for our local residents.

All beneficiaries had to apply for support, and all support offered was agreed by Trustees in weekly meetings held online.

In the 2019/20 financial year we supported 31 families with weekly support (a provision to cover the cost a week’s worth of food) and 10 families with one off support. In total our distributions came to £40,525, with the remaining funds carried over to the 2021/22 financial year.

We also supported families in identifying other avenues of support.
