To support the charitable work of Rehoboth Children s Homes of the Philippines. Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document Accommodation and nutrition are provided for children who have been orphaned, abandoned or neglected. Medical care is provided and the children are supported in their education. Recreational and spiritual needs are also provided for. Educational support is also provided for children who still live in their local communities but whose parents are not able to afford the education costs. One of the Trustees normally lives as a volunteer for the majority of the year at the Homes, providing tuition, administrative support and valuable liaison between the UK Board of Trustees and the local management in the Philippines. This year the volunteer was only able to spend just under three months at the Homes because of the corona virus pandemic. Volunteers give assistance with a sponsorship programme for the children and with managing finances.
Other trustees and supporters regularly visit the Homes.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main Accommodation and nutrition were provided for 31 children in two achievements of the charity separate houses. The children were supported through the educational during the year system, some to further education and training to enable them to seek suitable employment. The community based educational assistance programme was continued and supported 23 college students, 10 high school students and 5 elementary school students. Five older residents were supported in living independently. All the children and students were provided with extra support in their education with help in accessing online teaching or by staff and exresident volunteers at the Homes while they were unable to receive faceto-face teaching because of the corona virus pandemic. The Overseas Volunteer also provided extra online tuition from the UK for residents. The Sponsorship Secretary visited for four weeks early in the year engaging in various activities with residents, visiting homes of students in the educational assistance programme and providing valuable help with administrative tasks.

Details of any funds materially in deficit
The aim of the trustees is to keep a minimum of three months reserve funds in both the Philippines and the UK to meet ongoing needs of the Homes and any unforeseen contingencies. The reserve at the end of the year in the UK was £132,204 which was equivalent to over 12 months reserves.

The principal source of funds is gifts from individuals and churches. Funds are also provided from occasional legacies which provide significant and welcome amounts of extra income.

98% of expenditure was spent on the direct support of the Children s Homes in the Philippines.

Reserves are held in current and deposit accounts in UK banks and building societies that are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
