|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Derby Music Centre offers a range of workshops, bands, orchestras and choirs which cater for the needs of a wide range of abilities. It provides more specialised coaching in ensemble playing that young people are usually able to access in schools. It gives performance opportunities – both in groups and solos, in both large and small concert venues. Where pupils circumstances require financial support bursaries are available. Some students complete their ‘volunteering’ element of Duke of Edinburgh Award through the centre. |

The spring term chamber concerts resulted in great feedback around the breadth of opportunities and quality of experience and outcomes for pupils at DMC. • Upgraded, reviewed and evaluated all DMC resources (drum kits, timpani and library) enabling an increased positive |
