Your generosity bas enabled Cleaswell Hill Foundation to provide additional exciting, inclusive resources and experiences, that would otherwise not have been possible, for children with complex learning difficulties and disabilities. We are extremely grateful that donations to Cleaswell Hill Foundation facilitated the provision of an outdoor play area, hydrotherapy pool equipment and resources, breakfast provision for all Cleaswell Hill School pupils, an outdoor sand shed area, performing arts equipment and resources, toys and much fllore this financial year. The Constitution giv¢s th¢ Trustees the power to apply tbe funds of the Charity in such a manner as they think fil or for the benefit of any charitable object or puOSe. Recruitment and Appointment of Trustee The Trustees named on page I have served throughout the year. The ConstItion of the Charity governs the appointment of Trustees. The charity trustees are Members of the school senior leadership team, school and school governors. The minimum nutnber of clwity trustees is three. The trnstees will remain in position for the duration of their employment or governance at the school unless th¢y wish to retire from position or at the request of the chair. Trustees must declare any Conlltct of interest. On the event of the closure of the charity, any monies or assets remaining will be glfted to Cleaswell Hill School and no trnstee will gain from this closure. The charity trustees are members of th¢ Cleaswell Hill School senior leadership team, staff team an(Vor governing body as outlined in the governing document and devote their time voluntarily. When appointing Tntee8, emphasis xs placed on the diversÈty of skills and knowledge Currently required to be effective. New Trustees are considered and selected for their skills, knowledge and experience given the operational climate and needs of the Charity. Our Pur oses and Activities Purposes andAims Cl¢asw¢ll Hill Foundation aims to provide additional fllwicial support, OppOrtL1tteS and resources to Cleaswell Hill School. The allocated budget provision to the school supports the children's currAculum activities and sOurCes. Cleaswell Hill Foundation aims to provide suppott for thos¢ provisions that fall outside the norn1 remit of that budget provision. The charity also aims to provide supporL resources and acce88 to school facilities for members of the local community for public benefit.

This review looks at what w¢ have achieved and the outcomes of our work in the previous 12 months. The review looks at the success of each key activity and the benefits that they have brought to those groups of people we are set up to help. The review also helps us to ensure that our aims, objectives and activities have remained focused on our stated purposes. We have referred to guidance contained in the Charity's Commission's g¢n¢ral guidanc¢ on public benefit wh¢n reviewing our aims and objectives and in planning our future activities. tn particular, the trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to tbe aims and objectives they have set. The Focus of Our Work During the year, Cl¢aswell Hill Foundation continued to support th¢ children that attend Cleaswell Hill School. With a designated age range of 2-19 the Children have a wide range of needs from complex and multiple learning disabllities and difficulties, speech language and communication needs to physical and sensory n¢¢ds. IOOO/o of the children tbat attend Cleaswell Hill School have an education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school catchment area covers the whole of Northurnberland, providing specialist provision in collaboration with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals. Cleaswell Hill School 18 Situated in an area of high deprivation. Cleaswell Hill Foundation also continued to support the local community. Hoiv Our Aetivities Deliver Public Benefit Achievements and Performance Cleaswell Foundation continued to provide fijnding, resources and opportLmities/experiences for the children that attended Cleaswell Hill School, registered Gharities botb local and national and supported the local community. Cleaswell Foundation carried out many fimdraising activities during the y¢ar. Cleaswell Hill Foundation fundraised to provide a specialist outdoor play area for the junior yard this year. The complete structu and safety surface were funded as a result of generous donations from parents, carers. pupils, governors and members of the local cotnmunity. The project was completed during the Easter holidays and is utilised daily to develop social, gross motor, ConMuniCation, play and problem solving skills within an exciting and inclusive environment. The staff at Cleaswell Hill School also hosted a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support (registered charity number 261017) raising £30.44. Cleaswell Hill School pupils collected £30.44 for Marie Curie (registered charity number 207994)and £88.90 for Royal British Legion (registered clwity number 219279) this year. Grants Received and Our Thanks Cleaswell Hill Foundation is extremely grafrfiLI for all of the generosity and support received this fmancial year. Reserves Policy and Going Concern At the end of the yw total cash reserves of the charity amounted to £67,249 of which £5,755 were restri¢ted. Unrestricted funds of £61,494 tnclud¢ designated funds amounting to £57,699 which r¢presents funds set astd¢ for fUtLe planned activity. The trustees aim to retain enough unrestricted reserv¢s to cover approximately 18 months of t)yical annual clwity exp¢nditure and the level of unrestri¢t¢d r¢serves at the year end is considered to be satisfactory. Trustees Res onsibilities in Relation to the Financial Statements The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the fmancial statements in accordance with applicable law and r¢gulations. Charity law requir¢s th¢ Trustees to prepare financial statements for each fanCIal ar which give a true and fair Tricw of the state of affairs of the Charity as at the balance sheet date and of its incoming resources and application of resources, including income and expenditure, for the fmancial year. In preparing those fmancial statements. the Trustees are required to: s¢lect suitable accounting polici¢s and then apply them consistently. observe th¢ methods and Principles in the Charities SORTr; make sound judgments that are reasonable and prudent. state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards and Statements of Recommended Practice have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the fllmllcial statements. and prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume the Charity Hill ¢ontinu¢ in opcration. The Trnstees have overall responsibility for ensuring that the Charity has appropriate systems and controls, financial and otherwise. The Trustees are also responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the fmancial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.
