A welcome evenin8 is held each autumn for new intake parent5.' each class has an elected Class RepsentatiVe that communitètes P5A issues to the parents in that ¢lass. PSA membership 15 also promoted at all fund raising events, and the school help5 to promote the PSA via new51etters and the school website. Induction &Training New trustees are inducted into the workings of the charity and Its relationship to the school. RSsk Management The trustees have a duty to identlfy and re501ve the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate controls are in plate to provide re350nable assurance against fraud or error. The irustees continue to review the principal areas of the charity's operation5 in orderto identify risks that could affect the day lo day operations of the charity. In addition to the financial benefits, the various activlties of the Charity helped io build closer relationships between the parents, teachers and children. The money raised was used to enhance the school envlronment and the educational experience of the children. anc Revlew Flnanclal Results The results for the year. prepared on the'receipts and payments, basis, are set out on pages 5 & 6. The Association gave grants of £41,819 12023124.. £26,884) to Oakland5 Primary School to fund educatlonal experiences and the sthool environment. The Association shows a net Cash deficit lor the year of £11,452. After adding the balance b¥ought forward from the prevlous year of £17,084, there is a cash balance brought fonward of £5,632. The maln source of the income is informal fundralslng actlvlties. Reserves PoM¢y The Trustees agreed to redu the minlmum level of ffee reserves to £5,0, after spending on projects. A5 agreed at the charity's AGM on 3 October, 2024. the Committee agreed that the 2024125 net income be used to fund wet weather play equipment, whole school and year group trips/work5hops, IT for use within classrooms, and contribute to the school'5 partitipation in the Outdoor Play And Learning project. The total reserve5 from the Treasurers Account, Petty Cash and the Business 8ank Account are £5,632. Trustees Responslbllltles Charity regulation5 require the Trustees to prepare accounts for each flnanclal year whlch show the receipts and payments of the Charity in the yeaF. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accountin8 record5 whlch dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply wfth the Charlties Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud ènd irre8ularities.
