Objectives: 5. Charitable purposes (Objects) The company is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular: a) To promote the welfare of disabled and trauma-affected individuals by identifying, challenging and addressing structural, sensory, digital, cultural, and psychological barriers to access. b) To advance education by developing and disseminating inclusive frameworks and materials grounded in lived experience and trauma-informed practice. c) To advance public awareness and understanding of disability, trauma, and exclusion through accessible training, creative media, and community engagement. d) To relieve the needs of individuals who are socially excluded by reducing stigma and improving access to essential services. e) To promote and undertake advocacy to influence policy, practice, and public attitudes in furtherance of the above purposes. f) To operate as a Disabled Persons Organisation, led and controlled by disabled people, by maintaining a governing body in which disabled people hold a majority of director positions and meaningfully shape the company’s strategy, policies and practices. These purposes are exclusively charitable under the law of Scotland.
