**Objectives:** The objects of the SCIO are to:  advocate for safer sporting communities and the protection of all athletes from harm and abuse, which has women at its heart.    support survivors of abuse in sport by providing support services, assistance and resources to allow individuals to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.   educate athletes, coaches, parents, and others involved in the sporting community about the importance of athlete welfare and wellbeing, and how to recognise the signs of abuse in all its forms. and   conduct and disseminate trauma-informed research on abuse in sport.  In particular for the purposes of the 2005 Act the charitable purposes identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act are:-  the advancement of education. and the advancement of health.
