**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of education&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;

**Objectives:** The Organisation is established exclusively for charitable purposes, for the public benefit. It exists to benefit the community of North Ayrshire and surrounding areas, for people aged sixteen and over, regardless of sex, political belief, religion or other opinion. It will work with local authorities, voluntary organisations and local residents to advance education and to provide facilities and activities that promote social welfare, recreation and leisure, improving quality of life in the community. For the avoidance of doubt, &#x27;surrounding areas&#x27; means neighbouring local authority areas within Scotland where activities are delivered in furtherance of the Organisation&#x27;s purposes. The Organisation will create a space where participants build friendships and a sense of community, enhancing wellbeing and resilience through in the moment music making. In achieving these purposes, it will ensure any private benefit is incidental and that its activities deliver identifiable public benefit in line with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. Events, workshops and sessions will be supported by locally sourced funding, donations, community grants and fundraising. The Organisation will advance health by promoting wellbeing, resilience and improved mental health through inclusive, participatory, in the moment music making and peer led support, and will provide a supportive environment for participants to improve mental health and wellbeing. It will operate appropriate safeguarding and wellbeing policies for participants, volunteers and facilitators. Drum 4UR Life activities and workshops are co produced, delivered in partnership with a community musician (expert by profession) and a team of peer facilitators and committee members (experts by experience). The Organisation will advance education by providing structured workshops, training and participatory music making that develop skills, creativity, confidence and understanding, including training and supporting facilitators and volunteers and delivering educational activities that contribute to personal and community development. It will advance citizenship and community development by creating inclusive spaces where people build friendships, take part in co produced activities, develop mutual support and participate in shared community life. It will advance the arts by promoting hand drums and percussion and providing opportunities for spontaneous, creative, group led music making that is accessible and inclusive, through rhythm based sessions, workshops and community events that promote social connection and support wellbeing. The regular programme is primarily for participants aged sixteen and over, reflecting the peer led wellbeing model and safeguarding responsibilities. In addition to its core sixteen plus programme, the Organisation may deliver family sessions, community events and intergenerational activities at appropriate times. these may be open to all ages where suitable safeguarding measures are in place, and any under sixteen are accompanied by a responsible adult or supported in accordance with safeguarding procedures. In furtherance of its purposes, the Organisation shall ensure any private benefit is incidental and that all activities deliver identifiable public benefit in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
