Objectives: a) to advance education and the arts, heritage and culture by collecting, preserving and making accessible the history, traditions and genealogical records of Tain, Easter Ross and Clan Ross. b to operate and maintain the Tain & District Museum and Clan Ross Centre for the benefit of the public, including exhibitions, educational programmes and events. c) to advance community development by providing a cultural hub for local residents, visitors and the worldwide Clan Ross diaspora. d) to conserve, interpret and promote the history and material culture of the area, including archives, artefacts and oral traditions. e) to undertake any other activities which further the charitable purposes of education, heritage and culture for the benefit of the public. f) to accept a transfer of and thereafter take over and operate the trust comprising the Tain & District Museum and Clan Ross Centre, being a charity registered with the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator with registration number SC017848, and to operate the Trust Fund established under the said Declaration of Trust in succession to the Trust.
