**Objectives:** 4. The Associations purposes are to support the pupils and former pupils of Aberdeen Grammar School presently  (a) developing facilities at the School (b) providing networking opportunities, or mentorship initiatives to help pupils and former pupils further their career development (c) promoting and preserving the School&#x27;s history and provisions, such as archiving historical records, hosting reunions and celebrating the School&#x27;s milestones (d) organising social events that bring pupils and former pupils together for cultural exchange (e) supporting charitable activities undertaken by the School and any associated group (f) making grants (g) carrying out such other activities as the charity trustees in their sole discretion determine reasonable. Declaring that for the purposes of the Scottish Charities Act the following charitable purposes are the charitable purposes identified as applicable from section 7 of the Scottish Charities Act:- (a) The advancement of education (b) The advancement of health (c) the advancement of citizenship or community development (d) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science (e) the advancement of public participation in sport (f) the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended (g) the prevention of relief or poverty (h) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
