Objectives: The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community (the “Community”) of Person-centred counsellors, therapists, psychotherapists, clinical supervisors, trainers, those in training for such endeavours, and those interested in such endeavours. This is achieved through pursuit of the following purposes (the “Purposes”): To advance education and training in Person-centred Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy and the Person-centred Approach. To promote public awareness and understanding of Person-centred Psychology and its application. To support Person-centred practitioners and trainees and promote the development of networks and communities (within Scotland, the UK and internationally). To support research that explores and develops the Person-centred Approach. To support activities and organisations that wish to apply the Person-centred Approach to mental health care or in other relevant ways.
