**Purposes:** 'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation's purposes are: (a) To relieve loneliness, isolation and build confidence for children and young people (7-15) and adults (16+) including those with dementia in Shetland.  (b) To provide a befriending service by matching service users with trained volunteer Befrienders, offering a 1:1 service.  (c) To provide group activities for those with a match and those waiting for a match. (d) To provide events and activities for the wider public in need, to promote friendship building and support the mental health and wellbeing of those attending.
