Objectives: The organisation’s purposes are: (a) To promote human rights (as set out in the Universal Declaration Human Rights and subsequent United Nations covenants, treaties, and declarations) to those, in particular, residing in the defined community (as per clause 3(a)) by all or any of the following means: i. Proposing policy recommendations to the United Nations, public authorities in the world, including the United Kingdom and its devolved administrations, which may also provide benefits to residents in Hong Kong ii. Operating education programmes and activities (b) To advance equality and racial harmony between people with Hong Kong heritage residing in the defined community (as per clause 3(a)) and in other parts of the United Kingdom, through the advancement of the arts, heritage or culture and/or the provision of recreational facilities or activities with the object of improving conditions of life, by all or any of the following means: i. Organising arts, cultural and memorial activities ii. Providing facilities for community activities to enhance social wellbeing of the defined community iii. Providing advice and assistance to recent migrants, asylum claimants, and refugees residing in the defined community (c) To advance community development, including urban regeneration, within the defined community through the acquisition, management, and use of land and buildings for community benefit, ensuring activities are open to all residents and promote broader social, and economic wellbeing.
