Objectives: 4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance environmental protection and improvement by: 4.1.1 the enhancement of biodiversity in Aberlady through the application of conservation grazing and habitat management. 4.1.2 adhering to the highest standards of animal welfare, through respect, providing proper care, shelter, food, and veterinary attention. 4.1.4 promoting sustainable development and food production through responsible farming practices. 4.1.4 facilitating environmentally sustainable practices including proper land and grazing management, waste reduction, and the promotion of biodiversity. 4.2 To advance education by offering learning opportunities, developing skills and understanding, related to farming and sustainability by providing: 4.2.1 Educational activities for local schools, delivering modules on farming and sustainability linked to the Curriculum for Excellence 4.2.2 Developing rural skills, including land and livestock management within the local community. 4.2.3 Providing learning opportunities for people of all ages to learn about practical conservation and environmental science, for example through participation in species monitoring.
