Objectives: The Organisation's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation's Purposes are: - The advancement of public participation in sport, by providing inclusive opportunities, coaching and facilities for sports including (but not limited to) Cricket, Badminton and Touch Rugby, open to a broad range of ages and abilities, and with scope to expand into other sports as appropriate. - The advancement of citizenship and community development, by fostering community cohesion, volunteering, teamwork, leadership and intercultural understanding--especially within and between the Sri Lankan and wider Glasgow communities. - To provide or assist in the provision of recreational facilities, or to organise recreational and cultural activities, particularly sporting and cultural events, for the benefit of the Sri Lankan community and the wider public, in the interests of social welfare and with the objective of improving the conditions of life for those who have need of such facilities or activities by reason of financial hardship, social or economic circumstances. These activities aim to promote community cohesion, offer moral and emotional support, and provide opportunities for constructive use of leisure time.
