Structure, governance and management
The Three Amigos is constituted as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and is governed by its constitution. The charity trustees are responsible for governance, strategic direction and proper administration.
Charitable purpose and intended activities
The charity has been established to support people affected by cancer, serious illness, surgery and other significant health conditions. Its intended programme includes appropriate restorative and wellbeing support such as scar rejuvenation, paramedical tattooing including restorative areola tattooing, appropriate gynaecological and intimate wellbeing treatments, vitamin therapy where clinically appropriate, and other supportive treatments within practitioners' professional competence and scope.
Background to the charity
The Three Amigos was inspired by the founder's late mother, auntie and a close family friend. During their illnesses and treatment, the three women supported one another and affectionately called themselves 'The Three Amigos'. Following their loss, the founder recognised a gap in access to restorative support for people living with the physical and emotional effects of cancer, serious illness and treatment. The charity was created in their memory to help others access appropriate support regardless of financial circumstances.
Activities during the period
This was the charity's initial establishment and development period. It had not commenced service delivery by 30 April 2026 and received no income during the period. The trustees focused on developing the proposed service and seeking external grant funding. No charitable treatments were delivered because funding had not yet been secured.
Plans for the next period
The trustees intend to continue applying for grant funding and developing referral and partnership arrangements. Subject to funding, clinical governance and appropriate beneficiary assessment, the charity aims to provide free restorative treatments to eligible beneficiaries. The current planning assumption is an average cost of approximately £600 per treatment.
Reserves policy
At 30 April 2026 the charity held no reserves because it had received no income and held no funds. The trustees will keep the reserves policy under review as the charity becomes operational.

1. Basis of preparation. These accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis for a non-company Scottish charity.
2. First accounting period. These are the charity's first annual accounts and no prior-period comparative figures are presented.
3. Funds. The charity held no funds at 30 April 2026.
4. Receipts. No donations, grants, fundraising income, trading income or other receipts were received during the period.
5. Payments. No payments were made from charity funds during the period.
6. Assets and liabilities. On information supplied by the trustees, the charity held no cash, bank balances or other charity-owned assets and had no liabilities at 30 April 2026.

Independent Examiner's Report
I report on the accounts of The Three Amigos, Scottish Charity Number SC054394, for the period ended 30 April 2026.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with applicable Scottish charity legislation. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts and report on matters arising from that examination.
Basis of examination
My examination included a review of the accounting records and comparison of the accounts presented with those records, together with consideration of unusual items or disclosures and explanations from the trustees where necessary. An independent examination is not an audit and I do not express an audit opinion.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, appropriate accounting records have not been kept or that the accounts do not accord with those records; nor has any matter come to my attention to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
