ILAG will seek to encourage and support innovations in legal aid systems. collaborate with other disciplines to place legal aid in a broader context. share its knowledge and expertise with interested stakeholders. and organise and participate in (national and international) conferences and projects related to legal aid access to justice. The improvement and development of legal aid and access to justice will better enable people in these countries and jurisdictions to defend, protect or enforce their rights, including those contained in: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights UN Sustainable Development Goals The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights The European Convention on Human Rights
