Objectives: The Organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation’s Purposes are: The advancement of heritage through the restoration and development of the nationally important category A listed Carluke High Mill, its related buildings and surrounding land, preserving them for the community in perpetuity. To advance citizenship and community development through establishing Carluke High Mill and garden as a community venue that will support people’s ability to participate in community life, as well as promoting volunteering within the community. The provision of recreational activities through providing access to a range of opportunities that will help those in the community make constructive use of their leisure time, reduce isolation and improve conditions of life. The advancement of education by way of providing educational opportunities for all ages and abilities, thereby enhancing skills, knowledge and understanding.
