We create regular meeting spaces for people in Dumfries who want to cook up local solutions to the climate and ecological crisis. We do this mainly through a monthly public event that is open, friendly and free to attend. Events are either organised around a particular theme (such as renewable energy, cycling, birds, peat bogs or data centres, for example) where we often get people in from local organisations to share their specialist knowledge on the topic. Also, our events are organising spaces for people to respond to what is going on locally and come up with ideas or initiatives - or connect to existing projects. Our aim with this is to connect people to each other and existing positive projects, create space for new ideas to grow and generate some positivity, action and hope.
