Objectives: DSEC’s purposes are: The advancement of health through the provision of exercise and support to stroke survivors over the age of 18 in order to maintain or improve their health within the Dundee and surrounding areas. In furtherance of this purpose DSEC will: a) provide a club that strives to improve and maintain stroke rehabilitation at all levels of abilities and progress b) continually strive to enhance the quality of stroke survivors’ lives c) provide social interaction in a relaxed environment d) introduce new experiences, equipment, and techniques relevant to stroke rehabilitation e) liaise with other relevant agencies to enhance post stroke care delivery f) provide interesting relevant monthly information sessions to stroke survivors, carers, and volunteers to enhance their stroke understanding and care giving g) actively fund- raise if club finances fall below minimum reserve h) engage in relevant research studies.
