(Achievements andperformance $= j.§= ## = || +=. += == = —| Summary of the main achievements of | We have raised funds by asking for donations for the crafts and other the charity during the financial period —_ items that members of the shed have made or refurbished. Worked with Choose Kilwinning to make games for the Saturday markets they hold within Kitwinning town during the summer. Held a successful games night within a local community centre. Secured a temporary building for us to meet in. Took an empty building and tumed it into.a wood workshop, with a jarge meeting room where non dusty crafts could take place. Organised two successful open days, one of which was to tie in with mental health week. Applied for an asset transfer for a building more suited fo our needs (awaiting outcome). Designed and manufactured a Christmas tree for Choose Kitwinning to.be displayed in the town centre during the festive period. Won an award at the Adult Learners Week Award 2025 ceremony in the Scottish Parliament. ; Attended the Kilwinning Christmas Fayrein which we helped decorate the main street with garlands and decorations.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy | Currently we have the use of a building rent free, this is allowing us to on reserves build up funds which we intend to use after the successful asset transfer. Our outgoings are quite low each month, we only pay out for things like insurance, heating, electricity and any tools or materials as and when we need them. Reserve funds at the moment sit at just over £6000, which a mixture of both restricted and unrestricted amounts.

Details of any deficit None.

Donated facilities and services (if any) —_A building within Kilwinning town centre was donated to us rent free by a local businessman until work was begun to tum it into shops. Another local businessman has stepped in to allow us the use of an old church aiso rent free.

Asset Transfer and Future Development We are currently awaiting the outcome of an asset transfer request submitted to the local council would for a building that to be significantly better suited to our long-term needs. A positive decision would allow Kilwinning Community Shed expand its activities, increase accessibility, and provide dedicated space not only for our own members but also for other community groups seeking a place to meet. Securing a permanent home remains a key priority for ensuring the sustainability and growth of the organisation. Partnerships and Community Collaboration Over the past year, we have continued to build strong relationships with local organisations. {n particular, our collaboration with Choose Kilwinning has resulted in several successful community projects, including the creation of games for their summer markets and the design and manufacture of a Christmas tree for display in the town centre. We anticipate further joint initiatives in the coming year, strengthening our shared commitment to enhancing community life in Kilwinning. Membership Growth Membership has continued to grow steadily, and we now have just linder 100 members. This reflects the increasing demand for social connection, practical activity, and wellbeing support within the community. The Shed-remains committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds can learn new skills, contribute to. shared. projects, and enjoy meaningful social interaction.
