Objectives: To encourage and advance participation in sport and physical activity for people with disabilities in South Lanarkshire, through supporting the provision and development of disability sport. The Branch will do this by: a) Promoting the aims of Scottish Disability Sport b) Working in partnership with South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, South Lanarkshire Council, Scottish Disability Sport and other relevant organisations to co-ordinate, develop and promote opportunities for participation in sport and physical recreation for people with a disability within South Lanarkshire c) Supporting existing clubs, groups and individuals to be inclusive of participants with disabilities and encouraging the establishment of more such clubs and groups. d) Supporting individuals to participate and develop in their chosen sport or activity.
