Jaxon’s Gift was established to support families with children and young people who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis, and to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer within local communities and across Scotland. The charity has a particular focus on supporting families affected by Diffuse Midline Glioma (DIPG). The charity’s purposes are: • the advancement of health. and • the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. To achieve these purposes, Jaxon’s Gift raises funds in Jaxon’s name and applies those funds to provide direct financial assistance to families affected by childhood cancer, as well as grants to local community projects that align with the charity’s aims. The charity also works to increase awareness of DIPG and the wider effects of childhood cancer on children, young people and their families.

Objectives: 4 The organisation’s purposes are: a) 'the advancement of health', b) 'the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage' c) 'the advancement of education' d) 'the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage' The charity trustees will raise funds in Jaxon’s name in order to support and raise awareness within our local community and across Scotland for families with children and young people who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis, in particular those who have been diagnosed with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma (DIPG). The trustees will use funds raised to relieve those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by: i. Give grants for social & recreational activities for children affected by cancer & their families, ii. Give grants to families dealing with bereavement from a child who suffered from cancer, iii. Give grants to families with a child suffering from cancer who are in financial need. iv. Give grants or gifts to organisations who are involved in cancer research or who support children suffering from cancer.
